8 foot Trampolines
8ft trampolines are a wonderful size for a variety of different reasons. If you have a smaller garden or outdoor space, or you don't want the trampoline to seem too imposing within the space you do have, then an 8ft trampoline is ideal.

What you need to know about 8 foot trampolines...
First of all, it's important to know that an 8ft trampoline provides a 6ft jumping area. The padding takes up the remaining 2ft of the entire diameter as there is a 1ft wide circumference of padding. This 6ft jumping area is perfect for smaller children, particularly ages 3-12, as this age range will have plenty of space for bouncing. Similarly, an 8 foot trampoline can be suitable for all ages depending on the style of jumping that the jumper wishes to take part in.
For an adult who wishes to exercise and essentially use the trampoline within their fitness regime or for a bit of garden fun, an 8 foot trampoline provides more than a sufficient amount of space to do so. Meanwhile, the entire diameter of the trampoline itself is discreet and doesn't take up much space within the garden at all. The trampoline can therefore be a permanent feature within your garden without compromising your outdoor space.
(N.B We do recommend that a 1.5 metre space is left around the circumference of the trampoline so that there are no obstacles or impeding hazards, which should be accounted for when checking that your garden has the required amount of space. )
Are 8ft Trampolines Suitable for Children?
For very small children, 8ft trampolines are the perfect size as their little legs will be able to feel the rebound while jumping, whereas on a larger trampoline they may not be able to jump with quite enough force to feel the full effect of the rebound. This is because 8 foot trampolines have a more concentrated jumping area, with the springs positioned closer to the jumper who is standing in the middle of the trampoline bed, and the bounce therefore feels easier.
As the child grows up, becoming taller and heavier, they may feel that an 8ft trampoline doesn't give them as much space and impact as they would like. However, this does depend on the style of jumping that they prefer. If they become more proficient in trampolining, they may wish to take part in slightly more experienced forms of jumping, such as special tricks and advanced skills, in which case a 10ft or larger trampoline may be preferable. Please note that any advanced skills should be attempted only with the supervision of a qualified instructor.
Compared With Others?
When comparing 8ft trampolines, it is important to remember that the more springs the trampoline has, the better the bounce, but do take note that this should be considered only when comparing trampolines of the same size, and not compared to their larger counterparts.
