Air Hockey Tables

Air Hockey was first created in 1969 by 3 engineers who wanted to create a table top game using a frictionless surface. However, the game didn't take off and was forgotten about for several years until in 1972, designer Bob Lemieux found the original plans and liked the idea of the game but refined the rules.
The new method of scoring and adapted rules created air hockey, a game that remains widely popular and easy to play.

Air Hockey was an immediate success, over the next few years the sport grew in popularity and clubs such as the Houston Air Hockey Association started to appear.
